A developer cannot purchase property at inexpensive residential
prices, change the zoning, and then sell the property at severely inflated
commercial prices. This type of real estate speculation would ruin
our healthy, stable, historic neighborhoods.
An Alternative Development Proposal for this block.
"Franklin Adams, noted architect, has designed just
one example (shown below) of what an appropriate RD-2, residential development
on this block could look like. Here the height, mass, and architecture
complement the surrounding neighborhood. We want neighbors who will greet
us at street level. We do not want a vertical gated community cut off
from the neighborhood."
